My first view upon stepping out onto the deck in the morning ~ Laura D. Field ~
Weather permitting I have the luxury of walking past some beautiful views on my morning walks. Many mornings, if I time is right, the sun is either just cresting over the tops or peeking through the branches of the trees.
We are fortunate to live in a part of town that has friendly neighbors who care for their yards. We are also blessed with the varied scenes that captivate our attention as we walk or drive to our destinations.
On one of my most recent walks I took pictures along my route, from the early morning sunrise, gardens of neighboring yards, the wooden landscapes and scenic views, to the simplicity of a hard working farm. Camera in hand, and a willingness to stop from time to time to capture the different sights, made for a very inspirational morning.
The musical sound of birds, the rustling and scurrying of wood creatures, the trickling sounds of water gurgling within the wooded areas are the sounds of nature that can so easily be missed by simply being too busy or in a hurry to notice. Outside the normal sounds of nature, I encounter a variety of people who are also walking, running, biking and working in their yards.
Today I would like to share a few of the beautiful sights that I typically get to enjoy during these summer days.
The MVHS track where I will add extra mileage, when time allows, before going further around town.
The school flag at the middle school across from the track.
The soccer field

Penacook Fire Station – Manor House
Blueberries along my way
The glass garden that has inspired me with my own garden. I took the time to chat w/Donna and discovered that one can acquire the blue glass for $1 or less. Too many are asking for high prices, preventing me from finding these pieces that would add color to my gardens. Looking for the deep blues and burgundy reds.
A unique looking piece in Donna’s yard that blends so nicely into her inviting home.

Coming down Penacook Hill, towards Morrill Farm
Love the view of the Morrill Farm from this part of my walk. You can tell they have been working their farm for quite some time.
The cows grazing. I was hoping to get some close-up of the cows in a lower field, but they were not around for their portrait on this particular day
Love the look of this country setting – this is where they used to keep their horses. I haven’t seen the horses on my morning walks as of late.

Such a classic look
On my climb up Merrimack street coming home
Okay…running 20 m inutes late due to chatting w/Donna and stopping to take pictures. I love this clock steeple!!
A classic Proud American Home
Home Sweet Home
In about a week I hope to be adding a couple more miles to my walk, by extending it around another area of town. A place that I used to walk with a more intense hill. Great for core muscles but also inspirational due to the amount of wildlife.
Thank you for allowing me to share these fun photo’s. These views are just a portion of what inspires me daily when I go out on my morning, afternoon or evening walks. It is a peaceful and quite time that gives me time to reflect, pray and appreciate life and the many blessings of nature.
~ Enjoy!! May you find joy in each of your days
